Lukashenko commented on enraged fugitives

Today the headquarters of the fugitives abroad have empty pockets in the hope of getting at least some funding from the West. At the same time, the fugitives demonstrate their determination to commit various provocations in our country, up to serious terrorist attacks – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, while receiving a report from Prosecutor General Andrei Shved.

In particular, the President stated that in the last week there had been a fuss at the headquarters of the fugitives in Poland and Lithuania: the self-exiled opposition became enraged. The Head of State commented on what is happening, “Now they are sitting without money. The West will finance only specific measures, preferably of a radical plan and not even at the level of 2020: the overthrow, the assassination of the President, officials ... That is, to kill everyone who bother them too much. For this, the West will give money. Secondly: they are asked questions: who are you? Who is behind you?”

Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that the headquarters are shouting that a million Belarusians have fled the country, “In Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine, they stand around the perimeter and click their teeth, like hyenas. There are no millions there. Some say 2,000 people, someone – up to 4,000, no matter how many. But by this they [the self-exiled opposition] confirm their determination and the ability to do something here, up to serious terrorist attacks. And if the West sees that someone is behind them, at least a small group of people, they will give money for existence. They are afraid that some of these people (and God forbid the majority) will return to Belarus and turn to this commission. Then there is no money.”

The Belarusian leader added that now the headquarters are given meagre money and these funds do not reach all the fugitives, “It all ends up with the chiefs in the headquarters, who share this money. After all, everyone want to eat. And what is left for them to do? The Ukrainians suggest them (the military is coming) going to the front to fight against Russia. They all shouted about the Kalinovsky regiment and so on. There are about a hundred people in this so-called regiment. So these ‘great’ colonels and lieutenant colonels run around there, shouting that they ‘are creating a people’s liberation army’. But there are only a hundred people in this army, and even then they are fighting near Bakhmut ...”

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that among those who are abroad today, ‘there are also those who ran wild’, those ‘who are ready to fight there against Russia and here against the Belarusian people’. But this is their choice, the President underlined.
