“I want to tell you about our position – doing this for the first time. The Foreign Minister has been informed on it, and the Foreign Ministry has been instructed to implement it. No talks are possible without Belarus’ participation. Since you have involved us in this, primarily the western states, then there – at these negotiations – the position of Belarus should definitely be voiced," the Head of State said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko added, “We are guided not by the fact that we have been tied together with Russia. No. We proceed from the fact that this war is on the other side of our border, and it is seriously affecting the situation in Belarus. Therefore, there can be no separate agreements behind Belarus' back. I am absolutely convinced and I know that Russia understands this position. And there is nothing wrong with that. But this will contradict the plan of the West. However, this does not mean that we should dance to the tune of the West.”
