Lukashenko: Belarusian civil servants are not heaven-dwellers
The Belarusian top-down command structure is in no way opposed to people – as stressed by the President at today’s nationwide conference dedicated to Actualisation of Methods and Forms of Work with the Population at the Local Level
“We can be proud that, in our country, civil servants are not heaven-dwellers. Simply speaking, not oligarchs or not hereditary rulers are at the helm – but people who are nominated for positions by life itself, who are from among ordinary citizens,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
According to the Head of State, all government official get education, move up the career ladder, start a family, raise, educate and teach children on equal terms with others. “They also meet the main requirement: everyone has serious practical experience and knowledge of life. As they say, [these people] are earth-bound, so they well understand the issues people address them with. Moreover, people should be heard, and problems should be removed. As you know, effective work with citizens is an indicator of the professional suitability of those who head a district, a region, or an enterprise. In turn, complaints are an indicator of our shortcomings, and there should not be any at all in an ideal scenario. Of course, such a result might look unrealistic, but we should strive for it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
