Lukashenko: Belarus will remain Syria’s reliable ally
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the people of this country on the national holiday: Evacuation Day – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Under your leadership, the Syrian Arab Republic courageously and victoriously resists the threat of terrorism, and it also successfully copes with unjustified external sanctions pressure,” the congratulatory message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that relations between Minsk and Damascus have reached a level of strategic partnership, and common views on a just world order create its solid foundation.
“This makes it possible to actively expand co-operation in a variety of industries for the benefit of both peoples. I assure you that Belarus will remain a reliable ally of Syria in protecting independence and sovereignty," the Head of State stressed.
