“Over fifty-seven years of sovereignty, your beautiful country has become a leading trading centre in South-East Asia, a real pearl of ASEAN. The experience of Singapore's socio-economic transformation is an excellent example of the effective development of an independent and sovereign state," the President noted.
The Head of State stressed, “In the year of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Minsk and Singapore, I am especially pleased to note a successful expansion of bilateral ties, a progressive increase in trade turnover, and a growing interest in Belarus as one of the founding countries of the Eurasian Economic Union."
The President expressed hope for the continuation of fruitful joint work for the two peoples’ well-being, regardless of the geopolitical situation.
"I confirm Belarus’ interest in intensifying the political dialogue, strengthening of mutually beneficial co-operation in such areas as science and technology, agriculture, mechanical engineering, and pharmaceuticals," Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
