Lukashenko: Belarus, Russia never before faced such dangerous moments in relations with West

There have never been such dangerous moments in relations with the West in the history of Belarus and Russia – as stated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko after his talks with the Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region, BelTA reports

Aleksandr Lukashenko said that, jointly with Vladimir Putin, they discussed the topical issues on the bilateral agenda in detail – focusing on the politics, economy, military affairs and defence.

"There have never been such dangerous and difficult moments in our modern history in relations with the West," the President of Belarus stressed.

“When discussing today the problem that everyone is talking about, I emphasised this in our conversation with the President of Russia. This statement of mine was voiced not out of the blue. If only Russia had been a little late with its military operation, then they were preparing to strongly attack the territory of Russia – as they viewed it – focusing on the neighbouring regions. We have clearly got convinced now that this is possible. Therefore, if someone is restless and is shouting that they went to a wrong place, began at a wrong location and at a wrong time, then weigh up this uproar and what could be obtained if they were at least half a month or a month late," the Belarusian leader said.
