Lukashenko: Belarus determined to do everything possible to establish the best relations with Oman
The Belarusian side will do everything to ensure the best possible relations between Belarus and Oman – as stated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s meeting in a narrow format with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman today
The Head of State thanked the distinguished guest for coming to Belarus, “I want to officially declare that you are a man of your word: you promised to come to Minsk, and you have arrived. The media said that this is a historic visit, and I share this point of view. We are determined to do everything possible to ensure the best possible relations between our countries. We have elaborated a number of specific contracts (these are already contracts, not just intentions), and are ready to discuss their implementation with you today. As far as I understand, the roadmap – the plan of our joint activities – is ready, and our task is to co-ordinate this joint action plan and, naturally, to ensure that it is implemented. In the region where you live, we have no other country closer than Oman, so we are ready to have relations with you in all areas. I want to assure you that, if we come to an agreement on any issue, we will definitely fulfil it.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko once again thanked Haitham bin Tariq Al Said for the visit, “I would like to express my special gratitude to your subordinates, the Foreign Minister for preparing this visit. I want to assure you that you will not regret coming to Belarus. I'll be waiting for your visit in the winter as well.”
