Lukashenko at meeting with Xi Jinping: time requires responsible political decisions and prevention of global confrontation
Official talks between President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping are taking place in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing
First of all, the Belarusian leader noted that he was glad to visit friendly China again, and also thanked his colleague and friend of the Belarusian people for the traditionally warm and hospitable welcome.
The Belarusian Head of State also warmly congratulated Xi Jinping on his re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China, “Each time for me it is not only a new discovery of your original country, culture, and people. It is also an opportunity to observe colossal changes in development, to adopt unique experience, and to learn from you.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko stated, “Today’s meeting is taking place at a very difficult time, requiring new non-standard approaches and responsible political decisions which should be aimed primarily at preventing a slide into a global confrontation in which there will be no winners.”
That’s why, the Head of State noted, Belarus actively comes up with peaceful proposals, fully supporting the initiative on international security put forward by China.
“Your initiative on the subject of development also fully coincides with the Belarusian vision. We immediately joined the mechanisms to promote it and are ready for joint preparation and implementation of projects in Belarus,” the President assured.
