“Yuri Viktorovich, do you have any concerns regarding the construction?” the Belarusian leader asked Yuri Nazarov, Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate, upon arrival.
“We are on schedule so far. The frames should be ready by the end of October,” Yuri Nazarov replied.
The President of Belarus emphasised that such facilities should be built using the cheapest designs and domestic materials — especially, given that the country has enough wood to be processed, “‘Why did I get into this construction? I am looking for the cheapest design using our own materials. When I see wood rotting in the forest and we can't build a shed out of it… That's why he’s been given the task of monitoring how much a wooden structure will cost, and how long it will last if it is processed using the technology.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko is confident that the structure presented to him will last up to 50 years if everything is done and processed as it should be. Yuri Nazarov reported that all wooden structures are treated with antiseptics and fire retardants at the factory. Glued laminated timber is used, which, although slightly more expensive than conventional timber, is more reliable in use. The Belarusian leader was briefed in detail on the stages of construction and the techniques used.
“Everything is right, done in a prudent manner,” Aleksandr Lukashenko assessed.
The Belarusian leader took a closer look at the construction site, talked to the builders and summed up, “Beautiful! I think you will set an example here.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the experience of creating such facilities should be spread throughout Pripyat.
The construction of new buildings, including a milking unit and cowsheds, should be completed this year.
