Lukashenko arrived in Moscow to meet with Putin and take part in Supreme State Council session

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has arrived on a working visit to the Russian Federation – as reported by the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel, BelTA informs

On the evening of April 5th, on the eve of the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, the leaders of the countries, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, will hold a separate bilateral meeting, during which the two countries’ leaders will discuss a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Russian relations, including those that are not subject to discussion at the Supreme State Council: import substitution, deepening of co-operation, development of high-tech industries. The international situation and the measures taken to ensure security will be also among the topics discussed.

The next day in Moscow, Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. The participants of the event will consider the progress in the realisation of the Guidelines for Implementing the Provisions of the Treaty Establishing the Union State in 2021-2023 and the Union State programmes. Another key topic is the development of the Union State Security Concept.

As is traditional, some of the issues on the agenda of the Supreme State Council will be related to current activities within the Union State. The meeting will also sum up the results and discuss joint work for the coming period.
