Lukashenko arrived at military parade in honour of 80th anniversary of Great Victory in Minsk
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived at the military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, which is being held in Minsk today, May 9th, BelTA reports
The site at the Minsk Hero City Stele has become the venue of the parade – as is traditional.
The parade will feature a flypast, a foot procession and mechanised columns. The flypast will comprise almost four dozen planes and helicopters, and the foot procession will feature 33 parade units and five banner groups. Military personnel from Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will also participate in the parade.
As part of the mechanised column, 25 parade units will take part, with about 270 pieces of equipment.
