Lukashenko approved most important forecast indicators of Belarus’ development for 2025
On October 1st, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 384, approving the most important forecast indicators of the country’s development for 2025. The document maintains the economic policy’s focus on ensuring the sustainability of the economy and the growth of the population welfare – as reported by the Head of State’s press service.
The GDP growth is projected to reach 104.1 percent due to three related programmes dealing with production, export and investment.
The decree also sets targets for their implementation. Exports of goods and services are expected to increase by 5.4 percent, with expansion in physical volumes becoming the key factor in the growth. It is planned to invest 7.8 percent more in the economy than in 2024. Successful implementation of production and investment plans will ensure an increase in real disposable income of the population by 4 percent.
The policy of price restraint will remain in place. To do this, the National Bank and the Government set a target for limiting inflation at a level not exceeding 5 percent.
The decree establishes the requirement for the Government to approve a socio-economic development plan, which will act as a key tool for achieving the most important parameters. An exhaustive list of key indicators will be determined to assess the effectiveness of government organisations.
