Lukashenko approved draft amendments to SCO budget agreement: not just Dollars envisaged as means of payment

On November 14th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 398, which approved the draft protocol on amendments to the Agreement on the Procedure for Forming and Executing the SCO Budget as of December 1st, 2017 as a basis for negotiations, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The draft protocol establishes the possibility of paying annual contributions to the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation budget not only in US Dollars, but also in other currencies.

The Government has been authorised to sign the international agreement. It is planned that this will happen at a meeting of the Council of SCO Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) in Moscow, scheduled for November 18th this year.
