Lukashenko approved draft amendments to EAEU Treaty

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has approved the draft protocol on amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union as of May 29th, 2014, signing the corresponding Decree No. 9 On International Treaty Draft on January 11th, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The document has been approved as a basis for negotiations. The preparation of the draft protocol is conditioned by the need to update the EAEU Treaty, taking into account law enforcement practice.

The changes relate to issues of customs regulation, trade, competition, public procurement, energy, transport control, and technical regulations.
