Lukashenko appointed Petkevich Deputy Prime Minister: social bloc is most challengeable
By making personnel decisions today, Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed First Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration, Natalya Petkevich, Deputy Prime Minister
Addressing Natalya Petkevich, the President stated that he had previously considered her candidacy for the post of Deputy Prime Minister, and added, “Our social bloc is probably the most challengeable. However, given your approaches, discipline and demanding attitude to everything, I am sure that we will finally be able to solve not only the issues of normal film production... I am convinced that not only cinema and culture, but also sports, healthcare, and education are very important.”
The Belarusian leader also highlighted the development of the medical sector in the context of developing relations with African countries. In particular, Belarus’ partners in Zimbabwe are interested in building a clear healthcare system, and the republic is ready to provide assistance. The supply of baby food to the region also looks promising.
“We need to move forward in this regard and in no case to stop, it is very important. No progress is possible without the economy," the President stressed, emphasising the need for the Government to continue its work on diversifying Belarusian exports.
