Lukashenko appointed new ambassadors to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Israel and Cuba

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed new ambassadors to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Israel and Cuba today, BelTA reports

Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Aleksei Bogdanov has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan. Pavel Utyupin, who previously held this position, will work as Deputy Foreign Minister – replacing Igor Nazaruk. Accordingly, the latter has been appointed Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Belarus in CIS Charter and Other Bodies.

First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov has been appointed to head the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, while former Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan.

Vitaly Borchuk, who headed the Main Department for Foreign Economic Relations at the Industry Ministry, will work as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba and concurrently to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

The Deputy Head of the Main Department and Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Department at the Foreign Ministry’s Main Information and Analytical Department, Anatoly Glaz, has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkiye. The Belarusian diplomatic mission in Israel will be headed by Yuri Yaroshevich, who headed the State Protocol Service of the Foreign Ministry.
