Lukashenko appointed Dmitry Krutoi Head of Belarus President Administration
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has made a number of important personnel decisions. Thus, Dmitry Krutoi – who has worked as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia to this day – has been appointed Head of Belarus President Administration.
“I’ve decided to appoint the Head of the Belarus President Administration,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “Starting from tomorrow, Dmitry Krutoi will perform these functions. You’re responsible for the implementation of all our agreements with Russia. You, like no one else, are aware of these issues. Accumulate them, as Snopkov [First Deputy PM Nikolai Snopkov] does on China. Russia and China are our two main partners. There must be a responsible and purposeful approach to fulfilling our obligations and developing our relations. You’re still in charge of these issues. When you feel that this control should not be there, just tell me. This covers all directions, up to and including your visits to the Russian regions, as it was when you worked as an ambassador. There are no closed topics. However, this does not mean that you will substitute for the new ambassador. You are a polite person. You won’t intrude into other issues. However, be careful and correct in your relations with the new ambassador. He should deal with issues, while you can prompt and encourage somewhere, controlling certain processes.”
As for the motivation in choosing Dmitry Krutoi’s candidacy for the post of Head of the President Administration, Aleksandr Lukashenko explained, “Why are you? It’s clear. You have recently worked in the President Administration, in the Government. You are very familiar with the issues of the President Administration and interaction with the Government.”
