Lukashenko announced changes in pricing per square metre

The President of Belarus recalled that, during his meetings with the Russian leader, certain agreements had been reached – including construction of a cosmodrome and social facilities

As he addressed the builders during today’s opening ceremony of Minsk’s revamped children's polyclinic, the Head of State noted, “Go and earn money. Russians pay good salaries… When Germans, French and Brits left Russia, leaving their assets there, we are in demand, thank God. We should be more active in going to Russia to work.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that his work schedule includes many meetings with Russian governors, which indicates that Belarusians and their competencies are really in demand in fraternal Russia.

The Head of State reminded that there are enough places in Belarus that need to be revamped, also announcing changes in the pricing of a square metre in the near future.

“We should surprise our people in terms of pricing. We have seriously advanced in the housing construction sphere, primarily in Minsk, and we are now giving work to our trusts’ labour teams – rather than all sort of tricksters who took loans from banks and then sold apartments at exorbitant prices,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The President believes such an approach will not only make it possible to avoid extremely high housing prices, but also reduce the number of long-term construction projects. Meanwhile, private companies – if they wish to participate in construction – should create their own base, the President added.
