Lukashenko: Americans are madmen, since they united Russia and China against themselves
In an interview to VGTRK journalist, radio and TV host Vladimir Soloviev, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, said that Americans are madmen, since they united Russia and China against themselves, BelTA reports
During the interview, the Head of State revealed some details of his talks with former US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, who visited Belarus in early 2020. According to the President, during the meeting, alongside other things, the US policy towards China and Russia was discussed.
“When Pompeo came here, we sat in the office, and I asked him a few questions in a row: ‘Are you crazy? Tell your Trump that you are crazy’. He looked at me: ‘What do you mean?’ I replied: ‘Why did you unite the most powerful nuclear country with a huge military potential with the most powerful economic state and try to wage war against them? You will never win. Why are you doing this?’ He told me that China is stealing technology and that America would stop them. I said: ‘It’s too late. I know China better than you. It’s late. Nobody will stop China today. They will manage even without your technologies’,” Aleksandr Lukashenko described that meeting.
“Vladimir Rudolfovich, do you agree that this is a terrible mistake of the US to unite China and Russia?” the Head of State asked the journalist.
“This is truly a mistake,” Vladimir Soloviev supported his opinion.
