Lukashenko: Allied Resolve 2022 exercises held as transparently as possible

Belarus and Russia are conducting the Allied Resolve 2022 exercises as transparently as possible, on their territory. At the same time, we do not hide anything from anyone, everything happens under the watchful eye of an entire army of attachés and the press. This was stated today by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, after his negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, BelTA reports.

The Belarusian Head of State noted that he had repeatedly explained the essence of the exercises: in the face of growing military danger on the Union State borders and pumping weapons to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia are forced to look for adequate ways to repel a possible attack, including on their southern borders. “There is nothing surprising that we are looking closely at these borders, the south of Belarus. It is almost one and a half thousand kilometres. We are looking for points where we should first of all maintain our defence,” explained Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The President recalled that Russia and Belarus have a common air defence system, a single regional grouping of troops, joint training centres, and the Military Doctrine of the Union State. “We have never hidden these areas of military activity from anyone,” the Belarusian leader drew attention. “Therefore, holding exercises is our common decision, driven by the current situation. We conduct these exercises as transparently as possible, on our territory. We hide nothing, everything happens under the watchful eye of a whole army of attachés and the press.”
