Lukashenko: all non-traditional trends are nothing but attempt to depopulate and weaken the state
Delivering the annual Address to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly, the President said that Belarus stands for the preservation of traditional family values
“Let’s be honest: the state should not buy children from parents. It can help educate would-be citizens, secure them, provide social guarantees and opportunities for their development,” the Head of State noted.
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the issues of demographic security are not only an economic topic, “There are factors that neutralise all the conditions of the state to create favourable conditions for population growth. These factors should come into view of information policy, the spheres of culture, education, and healthcare. Western fashion for childfree, any popularisation of the ideas of a childless couple should be suppressed in our information cultural space. Any stuffing of such veiled appeals, as well as all non-traditional trends, is nothing more than an attempt to depopulate and weaken the state. Nothing less.”
The President is convinced that such an ideology should be outlawed.
