Lukashenko advocates giving dynamics to North-South transport corridor project

As noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at today’s meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg, work on the joint development of the transport, logistic and digital infrastructure of the member states, as well as increasing the transport connectivity of the EAEU with actively developing markets of third countries is of special importance within the EAEU

The President noted that the integration of our infrastructure capabilities, the realisation of the potential of international organisations and development institutions can and should ensure the solution of the task of forming a continental transport, logistic, trade and economic space.

“The North-South transport corridor is a good example of such a combination of efforts. It is being implemented upon the initiative of President Putin, with the participation of Azerbaijan and Iran. This will be a breakthrough in transport logistics. It is important to add momentum to this project. In no case should it be left on paper,” the Belarusian leader noted.
