“No one will have an easy life. You are on the front line. Difficult times are coming. We need to hold elections to the councils and Parliament. It is also necessary to hold elections of 1,200 [delegates] to the Belarusian People's Congress – doing this honestly, with dignity and carefully. The Presidential elections are also around the corner. Therefore, special attention should be paid to working with people,” the Head of State addressed the appointees.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that there are no issues that do not concern the heads of regional authorities on the local level, “Schools, houses of culture, sports facilities and hospitals – that are in the focus of special attention today – are yours.”

The President recalled a negative example, “So that it does not happen as in Uzda, as far as know. I told the meeting participants recently that the commission would come to the hospitals which is has already visited. Haven’t you thought differently? It went to Uzda and saw that the situation there was even worse than it had been earlier. It's no good.”

“So come and lead. You have the most interesting job – so start working, start managing the process. I say again: be careful to people, specialists. There is no need to act rushly. However, it is necessary to explain to those who are underperforming. Everything should be fair, then there will be fewer offended,” the Head of State instructed.

The President once again focused on an important point, “Remember: you have no ‘not yours’ issues in your area. Everything is yours. Even if a factory in Orsha is of republican subordination, it is still yours. It is your task to manage personnel and ensure control over their activities. If something is wrong, then report to the President Administration. Personnel issues are being overseen there. From the first sight, the proper persons have been chosen. I really hope the results will follow.”
