London hosts campaign against Polish authorities’ actions
People have gathered today near the Polish Embassy in London to support refugees who are not allowed into the European Union
The Federation of Iraqi Refugees has held a meeting in support of refugees who are not allowed into the EU by the Polish government. The demonstrators chanted: Shame on Poland, Refugee Rights Are Human Rights, Open Borders Now, Refugees Are Not Criminals. A member of the organisation met with a representative of Poland to hand him a letter to the Polish Prime Minister. In their message, the meeting participants urged to immediately terminate detention of refugees on the border, stop their torture and beatings, and also to immediately accept all refugees and grant them the legal right to seek asylum – and then to distribute them across European countries.
