Lithuania plans to double the number of trained Ukrainian military

In 2023, Lithuania will double the number of Ukrainian military for whom it organises training courses – as informed by the country’s Defence Ministry, TASS reports

According to the Lithuanian Defence Ministry, about 500 Ukrainian military have attended special courses in the country this year. “In 2023, the pace of training will double – to reach 1,100 people,” it said.

The source added that, in 2022, Ukrainian military have passed courses in 18 areas in Lithuania. This month, training will be completed on actions in the territory exposed to chemical, biological and radiation contamination, as well as on combating unmanned aerial vehicles and collecting data from open sources that may be of interest to intelligence.
