Lithuania plans to acquire HIMARS missile systems from US
The Lithuanian authorities are planning to sign an agreement on the supply of HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems from the United States of America this autumn – as stated by Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas, RIA Novosti reports
The Lithuanian Minister stressed that Estonia has already signed an agreement for the supply of American HIMARS. Despite this, weapons will begin to arrive in both countries at the same time.
“The Estonians started earlier, and they already have it, we will have this agreement a couple of months later, but the systems will be delivered simultaneously,” Anušauskas noted.
Earlier, the Pentagon said that the Ukrainian side received a sufficient number of MLRS HIMARS. The United States now intends to continue to focus on the transfer of the necessary ammunition to Kiev.
