Libyan government delegation laid flowers at Victory Monument in Minsk
The Libyan government delegation members have taken part in a flower laying ceremony at the foot of the Victory Monument in Minsk on the occasion of Belarus’ Independence Day, sb.by reports
The Prime Minister of Libya (Government of National Stability), Dr. Osama Hamad, noted that this is their first visit to Belarus, “We thank the Belarusian side for their hospitality. We felt like we were in our second home in Belarus. The Belarusian Government has assisted us in signing a number of bilateral documents. We are happy to celebrate Independence Day together with you, on this blessed day.”
Osama Hamad stressed that the government delegation was also happy to attend the festive concert and hear the welcoming speech of the President of Belarus [on July 1st], “The speech of President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko was strong, it touched upon a number of important areas – i.e. the Palestinian issue and the political situation in Iran and Ukraine. The President of the Republic of Belarus is a brave man who gave a number of recommendations on these issues.”
The Prime Minister of Libya added, “We congratulate the Belarusian people on their national holiday and on having so strong leadership and the Head of State. We congratulate the Government of the Republic of Belarus. We wish you all the best.”
