Lavrov: Western blitzkrieg failed either in relation to Russia or in relation to Belarus

This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after a joint meeting of the foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia

He underlined, “We particularly focused on the ongoing attempts by the West to interfere in the internal affairs of our states, including through the introduction of illegal unilateral restrictive measures aimed, as Washington and the European bureaucrats publicly declare, to undermine our economies and the internal political stability of Russia and Belarus. Meanwhile, as practice has shown, the Western blitzkrieg failed either in relation to Russia or in relation to Belarus. In recent months, many joint steps have been taken that have strengthened the economic sovereignty of our countries; these are primarily projects in the area of modern technologies, food security, as well as transport and logistics connectivity.”

According to Sergei Lavrov, the most important decisions were made during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Minsk on December 19th last year. Moreover, he noted that the prime ministers of Belarus and Russia are in daily contact, and all relevant departments are set to co-ordinate regularly in a systematic manner.
