Lavrov comments on Borrell’s words on military resolution of Ukrainian crisis
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has commented on the statements of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, about a military solution to the Ukrainian conflict in Ukraine. As reported by RBC, Mr. Lavrov believes they are ‘outrageous’.
“Either he has accumulated something personal, or he has made a slip of the tongue, or blurted out something that no one had instructed him to do. But these are outrageous statements," Mr. Lavrov stressed.
The diplomat added that ‘a very serious reversal’ in the policy is obvious; the West began to pursue it after February 24th. According to Mr. Lavrov, it reflects ‘bitterness and in some ways even frenzy’. Western politicians have begun transforming Ukraine into ‘a springboard for the final suppression of Russia’, the Foreign Minister of Russia noted.
