Latvia wants to change operating conditions of Russian oil pipelines

The Latvian leadership has announced its intention to revise an intergovernmental agreement with Russia on joint operation of oil and petroleum product pipelines passing through the country’s territory, RIA Novosti reports

“This week, a meeting of state secretaries [the working body of the Cabinet of Ministers] will be held, during which an intergovernmental agreement with Russia on joint operation of oil and petroleum product pipelines passing through the territory of Latvia will be reviewed,” Baltnews reported in its Telegram channel.

Accordingly, the agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and Latvia on joint operation of oil and petroleum product pipelines passing through the territory of Latvia dated June 2nd, 1993 may be revised.
