Large-scale NATO drills kicked off in Poland on February 25th

Large-scale NATO exercise Dragon-24 began in Poland on February 25th, involving 20,000 military personnel and 3,500 units of military equipment from ten NATO members – as reported by the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces on his X social account

It is noted that the purpose of these military drills is to test interaction and perform combat missions on land, in the air, at sea and in the area of cyber security.

The exercise – timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of NATO – will run until March 14th, 2024 and will include two stages: a crisis situation and a defensive operation. The crossing of troops across the Vistula River and the movement of NATO rapid reaction forces will become key elements of the military manoeuvres.
