Kuzbass Governor shared impressions on visiting Belarusian enterprises
During his meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko today, Ilya Seredyuk, the Governor of the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass of the Russian Federation, shared his impressions of the republic
Although it’s Ilya Seredyuk’s first visit to Belarus, the delegation has already spent several days in the country and managed to get acquainted with the work of Belarusian enterprises.
According to the Russian guest, Belarusian communal and agricultural machinery is very actively used in the region. “We have about 10 percent of Belarusian-made combine harvesters, and just yesterday, we got acquainted with new products. There are prospects for increasing the supply of this equipment,” he said.
The Russian region is also actively co-operating with MAZ: the parties are discussing joint projects that would contribute to the increase of sales of Belarusian equipment not only to Kuzbass, but also other territories of Russia.
The Kemerovo Region delegation members have also visited BelAZ – a company that has been a long-time partner of Kuzbass.
Mr. Seredyuk shared his impressions, “I would like to note the high production culture. We got acquainted with the [working] conditions and learnt of the social guarantees that are provided to workers – which are also an example to follow and implement in our enterprises. We are surprised and impressed by the social responsibility towards people who come to work, as well as by the programme that envisages the allocation of housing to young specialists.”
