Kubrakov: Belarus’ Interior Ministry ready to provide training for Vietnamese policemen

The sides discussed exchanging delegations and expert groups, promptly providing requested information, holding joint events and other forms of dialogue to improve the professionalism of the countries’ departments.
Ivan Kubrakov noted that Belarus’ Interior Ministry has a vast experience working with foreign colleagues, “We are ready to provide opportunities for training Vietnamese police officers in educational institutions and departments of our ministry.”

During the meeting, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Department and the Department of Internal Affairs of the Brest Region Executive Committee, represented by Head of the Department Oleg Shuliakovski, signed Memorandum of Understanding.
“We are interested in learning about best international practices in combating transnational organised crime, extremism and terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal migration, as well as ensuring public order. In turn, Belarus’ Interior Ministry is ready to share its own experience and techniques,” the minister emphasised. “I am convinced that the signed Memorandum will serve as a basis for new projects and initiatives between our regions.”

Vietnam expressed interest in training its employees in Belarus and purchasing personal protective and public safety equipment and other goods for law enforcement agencies made by Belarusian manufacturers, “Our ministry seeks to expand areas of co-operation with Vietnamese colleagues and is open to communication in all areas,” Ivan Kubrakov concluded.
