Kosinets shared details of Belarusian People’s Congress organisational structure
At today’s meeting of the Presidium of the Belarusian People’s Congress held by the President of Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko, the organisational structure of the Belarusian People’s Congress has been determined, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Kosinets told journalists
He said that the organisational structure of the Belarusian People’s Congress has been adopted at today’s meeting of the Presidium of the Belarusian People’s Congress, “1,189 people are united in ten delegations: delegations from the legislative, judicial, executive authorities and seven delegations from the regions. The average number of the delegation is from 70 people, the largest is from the city of Minsk (192 people). Thus, a system of organisation and management has been established: the President, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress – his Deputy – the Presidium – the Secretariat. This is one level of hierarchy. Another level is the delegations headed by the heads of Parliament, the judiciary, the Prime Minister, and the chairs of regional executive committees.”
Thus, the Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress emphasises, the organisational structure has been formalised and is starting its activities. According to Mr. Kosinets, Aleksandr Lukashenko also set goals and tasks for the participants of today’s session ‘to immediately go to the regions and meet with the delegations, because the Belarusian People’s Congress defines the strategy for the development of our state and society, the firmness of the constitutional order, and civil accord’, “It is necessary to ensure co-operation [of the delegates of the Belarusian People’s Congress] across these main areas in order for the whole system to work effectively.”
Mr. Kosinets added that the organisational structure of the Belarusian People’s Congress has ‘a very high level of responsiveness, a high degree of control, efficiency, and discipline’.
