Restoring order in all spheres of life and creating a comfortable environment for Belarusian citizens are among the key tasks of the country – as stated by Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, at an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic that focused on the deputy corps’ role in implementing the tasks set by the Head of State to restore order on the land and to improve territories

Recalling that Decree No. 1 of the President of Belarus as of January 3rd declared 2025 the Year of Improvement, Ms. Kochanova stressed, “Restoring order in all spheres of life and creating a comfortable environment for our citizens are among the major tasks that Belarus faces. Without exaggeration, this topic concerns each person, since order and beauty that surround us are not only the key to a prosperous life, but also an important factor in shaping our national identity, culture and respect for our land. This is an indicator of our responsibility and love for Motherland.”

The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic noted, “As the President of the Republic of Belarus, respected Aleksandr Grigorievich Lukashenko, has repeatedly stressed, there must be perfect order on the land. Cleanliness and aesthetics are not just our brand: it is a lifestyle and, after all, it is people's health. With this in view, the Head of State pays close attention to this topic, sets specific tasks for us and demands their strict fulfilment.”

Addressing the meeting participants, Ms. Kochanova emphasised, “I am sure that the deputy corps plays a key role in solving these tasks. After all, dear colleagues, as representatives of the population, as people who are elected and authorised to represent the interests of their constituents, you are the connecting thread between the state policy and the real life of ordinary Belarusians. You must ensure effective interaction between the government and society, create conditions for the active participation of citizens in the development and improvement of territories. After all, you know better than others what issues need to be addressed as a matter of priority in your regions.”
