Kochanova on how issues that Belarusians address to President's proxies being resolved

In her talk with the ONT TV channel, Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, explained how the issues that Belarusians address to the President's proxies are being settled

“We have summarised all the problems that people addressed us with, informed the republican governing bodies (in cases that concerned our state bodies). As regards the issues related to the local level, we have discussed them or sent to the local authorities for consideration," Ms. Kochanova noted.

The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic stressed that some of the questions were answered and clarified immediately. “We will keep the problematics issues under control, and there is no doubt about it. We will do everything to ensure that all the problems that people have addressed us with are resolved,” she said.

“The President of Belarus told his proxies to meet with the population. We should visit labour collectives and be in contact with people so that this work will continue. Nine [proxies] are members of the Council of the Republic, and this work is absolutely not new for us. We meet people all the time, we communicate directly or through direct phone lines. Of course, the responsibility to those we met – that’s about 90,000 people – is great. We have held 438 meetings to date,” Ms. Kochanova added.
