Kiev may organise provocation with spent nuclear fuel in Kharkov

Kiev may be preparing a provocation with the detonation of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility in Kharkov in order to blame Moscow for this later. As reported by TASS with reference to its own sources, the alleged disaster will affect not only the east of Ukraine, but also Russia, Belarus and the EU territory.

“Given the lack of military successes of the Kiev regime in its confrontation with Russia, there is a high probability that it will attempt to carry out another resonant provocation – such as the detonation of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility in Kharkov and the subsequent accusation of Moscow of launching a missile attack on the nuclear facility,” the source said. It added that several nuclear reactors operate in Kharkov: at the Institute of Physics and Technology and at the B.I. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

“In light of the absence of a harsh reaction from the UN, OSCE and other international organisations to Kiev’s terrorist attacks on Russian territory, it not impossible that the regime of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy will decide to implement this inhumane plan. As a result, the damage from the disaster will cover only in the east of Ukraine, but also Russia, Belarus and the EU territory,” the source noted.
