Key areas of co-operation with Khabarovsk Krai
Belarus is ready to co-operate with Khabarovsk Krai in many areas — as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his meeting with the Governor of Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai, Dmitry Demeshin

The Head of State named mechanical engineering as a promising area of co-operation, “We have always supplied BELAZ heavy-duty mining dump trucks to your region, and we continue to sell our unique equipment there. No one else in the post-Soviet space produces such machines. We are ready to expand supplies and service this equipment, and you can count on us in this regard.”
According to the President, given that Belarus is an automotive manufacturing country, it expects to supply passenger electric vehicles to Khabarovsk Krai, “Within the framework of a new cluster for the assembly of electric buses that is currently being created there, we are ready to offer package solutions for the transition of a separate settlement or area to electric transport, including the construction of an electric charging infrastructure.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko also stressed the readiness to supply special, road construction, fire and rescue equipment, trucks and elevators to the Russian region, “The elevators produced in Soviet times have reached their end-of-life and need to be replaced. It is true for the entire post-Soviet space. Russia is a priority for us in this regard. We are ready to fulfil orders from the Russian Federation first, and then from other countries.”
Co-operation in the aircraft industry is an important area of interaction, and Aleksandr Lukashenko explained, “The sphere of co-operation may include the supply of parts and assembly units manufactured in Belarus for Khabarovsk military-industrial complex enterprises, as well as civil aircraft construction.”

Another traditional topic covers agriculture and food supplies. “Vladivostok, Khabarovsk... The Far East is a very important region for us psychologically. I am a Soviet person, and I believe these regions are not alien to us. We should primarily pay attention to these regions so that they do not feel distant from the centre,” the Head of State said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko added that Belarus is ready to prioritise the supply of necessary food to Khabarovsk Krai, as well as to co-operate in agriculture — especially since the republic has positive experience of such interaction with Sakhalin and Vladivostok. “We have done a lot, including in technology transfer, especially in animal husbandry. We have experience, and we are ready to liaise with you in this area,” the President noted.
The Head of State also noted that Anatoly Isachenko, the Governor of the Mogilev Region who was present at the meeting as well, could help the partners resolve a number of necessary issues, “We are at your disposal, we are ready to work. There are no closed topics. We will co-operate with you in all areas.”
