According to the Izvestia newspaper, which refers to the Association of International Road Carriers and Russia’s Transport Ministry, the Russian side is aware of at least eight domestic trucks delivering goods from the EU that have been detained by now, but the exact number of vehicles got trapped in Kazakhstan is yet unknown.

“Some of them are located in the parking lots for violators, where each day of storage is expensive. Others are at customs terminals. Some road trains are right on the road. All documents were confiscated from the drivers, so they cannot go anywhere,” a representative of the association said.
