Kallaur: cheaper loans for exporters possible

The Chairman of the Board of the National Bank, Pavel Kallaur, commented on financial support to exports after his meeting with the President today

“Exporters should always be supported but loans must be market-based. If we want to support certain areas, for example, exports of small and medium-sized enterprises, then we have appropriate banking products and programmes available. If these are not in demand, then we assume that additional measures to subsidise interest rates may be taken in line with the established procedure. You understand that interest rates are being subsidised at the expense of the budget,” Mr. Kallaur said.
