Jinping called for settlement of conflict in Ukraine
In his telephone conversation with the Russian President, Xi Jinping stressed that all parties to the conflict are responsible for resolving the situation in Ukraine, Izvestia reports
The Chinese leader noted that he is ready to assist in the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, adding that Beijing takes an independent position on the issue – ‘taking into account the facts and historical realities’. Xi Jinping said that China actively contributes to the maintenance of peace on a global scale and the preservation of a stable economic order on the planet.
According to Xi Jinping, the China-Russia relations demonstrate good dynamics, and Beijing is ready to develop further co-operation with Moscow. The Chinese leader assured Vladimir Putin of his readiness to assist Russia in matters of national security.
