Isachenko revealed details of his report to Lukashenko: dairy complexes, trout, mining farms
Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko told journalists some details of the conversation after his report to the President Aleksandr Lukashenko. In particular, he noted that the meeting focused on issues related to the region’s development prospects.
“The first is the construction industry, the modernisation of our house-building factories. There are three of them in the region: in Mogilev, Bobruisk and Chausy. The President generally supported our approaches, instructed to evaluate everything once again and come up with proposals,” Mr. Isachenko said.
The next issue, he said, is the modernisation of dairy farms and the construction of new facilities, “It is very relevant and important for the Mogilev Region, because there is an instruction from the Head of State to completely move away from tethering cattle. Dairy farms have a different technology and a different culture of production. The President has also given relevant instructions in this area.”
The Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee also told reporters about plans to build mining farms in the region, “We have good sites in our region with energy facilities and everything necessary to build mining farms. We have the green light and we are preparing these sites for tenders for investors.”
Mr. Isachenko said that 12 projects – worth over Br600m – had already been implemented in the region under the One District – One project programme. The programme for the development of the south-east of the Mogilev Region has also had its effect, “We have invested money in the development of these districts, created new enterprises, three trout farms are under construction and will be commissioned this year. In addition, the private sector has also received incentives.”
According to Mr. Isachenko, there are instructions to make proposals to extend this programme.
