Interactive map with timber information available
A widget – informing on available round timber resources – has been launched at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange website
The volume of available raw materials for the next year of coniferous and deciduous timber, as well as round-wood of grade D and technical raw materials is indicated on the interactive map, with reference to the country as a whole and its regions.
As reported, the widget was initiated by the Forestry Ministry and it’s now possible to learn of the availability of resources in a particular area as quickly as possible.
It is expected that the new function will make it possible to smooth out fluctuations in demand and prices at auctions, since participants will be able to see the balance and understand where and in what quantity raw materials are available.
