The talks were also attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Granados Felix and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to Russia and Belarus concurrently, Torres Mejia Alba Azucena.

“Mr. Yefimov noted the progressive nature of the development of bilateral co-operation, stating that the Industry Ministry is interested in further strengthening of an industrial dialogue between Belarus and Nicaragua. According to him, Belarus is ready to provide the necessary assistance in the implementation of projects for the supply of equipment for the needs of Nicaraguan cities, including the capital of Managua: i.e. trucks, buses, electric buses, and road construction equipment,” the press service of the Industry Ministry reported.

In Belarus, the Nicaraguan delegation visited Belkommunmash JSC, Amkodor JSC, Minsk Tractor Works, and Minsk Automobile Plant. The guests got acquainted with the range of products and the elaboration of specific commercial proposals.

“The Industry Ministry attaches great importance to bilateral co-operation and views the Republic of Nicaragua as a potential country to promote the products of industry enterprises in the Latin American region. Last year, our foreign ministries signed a general intergovernmental agreement on the provision of export credits. The document provided additional opportunities for co-operation between the two countries, including with regard to the supply of equipment,” the source added.
