Industrial production increased in EAEU

In January-August 2022, the volume of industrial production of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) totalled $1.056bn: 0.8 percent up compared to January-August last year – as stated in the review of the Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), presented on its website

According to the Department of Statistics, industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose by 18.2 percent, in Armenia – by 9.2 percent, in Kazakhstan – by 2.5 percent, in Russia – by 0.9 percent; in Belarus it slightly decreased by 6.6 percent.

EEC experts also reported that ‘in the mining industry and quarrying in the EAEU, the volume of production expanded by 2.2 percent, in electricity, gas, and steam supply and air conditioning rose by 0.3 percent. In the water supply, sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste, the volume of production decreased by 4.8 percent while it remained at the level of January-August 2021 in the manufacturing industry'.
