Touching upon the issue of development in the context of Western sanctions against Belarus and Russia, the diplomat stressed, “Sanctions do not represent any serious barriers to the development of our relations. Although, the sooner the sanctions are lifted, the better. We continue to work with the Republic of Belarus, there are no unsolvable problems. Business continues to work and we continue to maintain commercial relations.”

At the same time, the parties are looking for joint solutions to current issues related to logistics and payments.

Journalists also asked the diplomat about his attitude to the international agenda and the displacement of the central world forces. Alok Ranjan Jha noticed that the centres of the world are constantly changing. As far as the development of relations between India and Belarus are concerned, which are already multilateral and strong, the diplomat emphasised that there are plans to make these ties even stronger, “These relations are absolutely independent, they do not depend on what kind of relations our countries are building with their other partners. We’ll continue moving in this direction.”
