India, US agreed to work together to produce nuclear reactors
India and the United States have agreed to work towards localisation of the production of US nuclear reactors in the South Asian republic and possible technology transfer, TASS reports
Indian PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump have announced their commitment to the full implementation of the India-US civil nuclear co-operation agreement, moving forward with plans to work together to build US-designed nuclear reactors in India through large-scale localisation and possible technology transfer.
It is reported that the move will enable plans to build large US-made reactors and to liaise in the development, deployment and expansion of nuclear power generation using advanced small modular reactors.
