India to buy 1m tonnes of Belarus’ potash fertilisers

India can buy 1m tonnes of potash fertilisers from Belarus – bypassing western sanctions, TASS reports

As stated by The Times of India, this will be the first Belarusian-Indian deal of the kind after the western sanctions – aimed at undermining Belarusian fertiliser exports – have been imposed on the country.

The publication said the Belarusian Potash Company plans to open an account in Rupees in an Indian state bank to sell its potash, since the western sanctions have blocked the trade of Belarusian fertilisers in Dollars and Euros.
