India asked West to refrain from double standards in oil imports from Russia
The countries of NATO, the European Union and the United States that criticise India for buying oil from Russia should refrain from double standards – as stated by the spokesperson of India’s Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal, TASS reports
Randhir Jaiswal said at a briefing, “I would like to draw your attention to some comments that were made by several leaders, including the [US] President Trump. The EU, NATO and G7 countries should also consider stopping energy imports from Russia. I mean, there should be no double standards in this matter.”
Earlier, during his speech at the general political discussions of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Donald Trump condemned India, China and American allies in NATO for purchasing Russian energy resources.
