In December 2022, Belarus’ gold and foreign currency reserves rose by 1.6% to reach $7.929bn

As of January 1st, 2023, the international reserve assets of Belarus, according to preliminary data, amounted to $7,929.5m in equivalent – as reported on the website of the National Bank of Belarus

In December 2022, gold and foreign currency reserves increased by $131.8m (1.6%) after an increase in November by $207.9m (2.7 percent).

“From August 2022, information on the volume of international reserve assets is published on the official website of the National Bank without detailing their structure, as well as indicating the factors that influenced their change,” the regulator said in a statement.
